How To Setup Your elite System
You've made a fantastic decision in choosing Elite as your security solution. To get the best out of your system, we've provided some quick and easy to follow guides to make your initial setup effortlessly simple.

You can watch the videos or just follow the step by step guide in each section.
 Connecting your cameras to your NVR
In this video we will be connecting an IP camera to an NVR.
Step by step guide

1. After Installing your IP camera, plug an ethernet cable into your camera using the available RJ45 port. You should hear a click confirming the RJ45 connector is firmly in place. 

2. Please note the DC connector is not used, as power is provided by the NVR locally.

3. Now plug the opposite end of your ethernet cable into an available camera port on the back of your NVR.

4. Then connect your Power supply to your NVR.  

5. Connect your NVR to your router using an ethernet cable.

Please note: You will also need to connect your NVR to a monitor using either a HDMI or VGA connection.
 Using the Setup Wizard
In this video we'll be navigating the Setup Wizard on your Elite NVR or DVR.
Step by step guide

1. The first time you switch on your recorder, you will see the on-screen wizard. This is the same for both Elite NVRs and DVRs.

2. Tick the Start Wizard prompt on-screen and then click Next. 

3. The default password is 123456, we highly recommend that you update your password by ticking the change password box and typing in a memorable password. Once done, click next.

4. Step three, Update the date and time to your local time and then click next.

5. Step Four, Check that DHCP is ticked, if not, tick it. This allows your recorder access to the internet so you can use the mobile app which we will cover in another video.

6. Check that the Schedule is ticked, if not, tick it. This allows your NVR to record in different ways, for example continuously or if motion is detected by your cameras. Once complete click OK.
 setting up the network On your elite recorder
In this video we'll be setting up the network on your recorder for use with the mobile app.
Step by step guide

1. First things first, click the House icon in the bottom left corner, this will take us to the main menu.

2. From here we can click on System on the left and then click Network.

3. The final step is to click on P2P at the top of the screen.

4. Check that the P2P box is ticked, if not, tick it. Once ticked click apply at the bottom of the screen. This allows the app to see your recorder. You will see an on-screen QR code which we will be scanning with the mobile app in our Setting up the app video.
 Viewing your cameras on your mobile app
In this video you'll be shown how to link your mobile app to your recorder so you can view your cameras on your mobile.
Step by step guide

1. Firstly, download the MaxxOne Elite app onto your mobile device from the Android Play store or the Apple App store dependent on your device.

2. Once installed, tap to open the MaxxOne Elite app.

3. Close the pop-up menu that reads ‘No device has been added’ by tapping OK.

4. Once that is done, tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the app.

5. From here we can tap Login. At the bottom of this menu tap ‘Sign Up’. Please enter your email address into the box that reads ‘Enter the email address.’. You can now tap verify. This will send a verification code to your email.

6. Enter the 6-digit verification code into the box on the app that reads ‘Enter the verify code.’ and then tap Next.

7. Type a password into the box that reads ‘Enter the password’ .

8. Tap the tick box next to ‘I have read and agree to <<Service Agreement>>’ and then Tap Sign Up.

9. Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the app and then tap Devices.

10. Remember to have your recorder switched on and connected to the internet and a monitor. From the menu click system and then network. From here click on P2P at the top of the screen. Here you will see your QR code.

11. From this screen we can tap Add and then tap Scan.

12. Tap OK on the on-screen pop-up and hold your phone up to the QR code presented on your monitor.

13. This will allow your mobile device to link to your NVR.

14. You will now see your NVRs details on-screen and you can now tap the save icon in the top right corner.

15. This will revert you back to the devices page.

16. Tap your NVR and then tap Live View. Your MaxxOne Elite app is now linked to your NVR and you can view your cameras anytime from your mobile device.
 sharing The Elite app with friends
In this video we will be sharing the MaxxOne Elite app access with others.
Step by step guide

1. Now that your app is set up, you may want to share the app with friends, family or customers. I’m going to show you how.

2. First open your MaxxOne Elite app.

3. From your Live View screen tap the Menu in the top left corner, from here tap Devices.

4. Here you can see your recorder, tap on your recorder and then tap Share.

5. Please remember to let the person that you are sharing access with know to sign up to the MaxxOne Elite app.
6. From here tap QR Code at the top of the screen.

7. Tap the ‘Sharing Password’ box and include a password you wish to use to share the app with others. This must be at least 8 characters and include at least one number.

8. You can then tap on the ‘Valid Period’ box and set a date and time that your recorder will be available to view until. For example, I will set mine to December 1st 2020.

9. You can also set the level of permission that is available to said person by tapping on the Sharing Permission box and choosing from your permission levels. We currently only have admin level set.

10. Once done tap Generate.

11. You will now see your generated QR code. From here, anyone that you wish to share access to your recorder with can simply scan the QR code with their MaxxOne Elite app, and they will have instant access to view your cameras on their mobile device.

12. That is how you share access to your recorder with other people using the MaxxOne Elite app.
